2026-2027 Club Program
The Chatham Garden Club meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month at the Chatham Community Center. We gather at 12:30pm for friendship and refreshments and our programs commence at 1:00pm unless otherwise noted.
The Welcome Back Luncheon at the Chatham Community Center is a special time to reconnect and to thank all Town Garden volunteers for their efforts maintaining our beautiful spring and summer displays. Catch up on all the summer action in the gardens, socialize with past members and make new friends.

Jamie Bassett of Chatham Kelp will speak about the process of kelp farming, the positive environmental impact of growing kelp and the products available from kelp. Jamie has shared kelp fertilizer samples at previous monthly programs; many of us have experienced its beneficial effects. We are pleased to officially welcome Jamie to one of our monthly programs!

Invasive Species in Massachusetts
with Dr. Elizabeth Barnes
The MA Department of Agricultural Resources works to alert the public to new invasive species. Dr. Barnes will offer an overview of some of these. Her presentation will help gardeners and homeowners recognize, report and manage invasive species.

A Rose by Any Other Name Would Smell as Sweet
with Steven Flack
This program describes varieties of roses that perform well on Cape Cod, their preferred growth conditions and care. Steven is a Master Gardener who maintains extensive personal gardens on his property in Yarmouth Port, MA. He frequently lectures on the history of gardening, heirloom “herb” and other perennial plants, and traditional cultivation techniques.

Use of Native Plants and the Pollinator Pathway Program
with Gary Bowden
The Pollinator Pathway Cape Cod (PPCC) is a regional initiative created to increase pollinator-friendly habitats and food sources for bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinating insects and wildlife across Cape Cod. Gary will offer guidance on how to promote greater garden and pollinator health while maximizing beauty and impact in public and personal outdoor spaces. Gary is President of the Board of Directors of the Master Gardener Association of Cape Cod.
